Can I get credit for prior experience?

Just starting out? Already started a degree? You may have more college credit than you think. As an institution committed to working adults and transfer students, CityU employs a flexible transfer policy. We want to be sure you are starting where you left off, not starting over. If you began your academic career at another university or community college, you’re in good company. CityU welcomes credits transferred from other accredited colleges and universities and can assist you in ordering your official transcripts from those institutions. Once CityU receives your transcripts, we will evaluate your prior coursework and will discuss how your work will apply to our programs.

CityU also recognizes credit awarded by the American Council on Education (ACE) as well as nationally recognized, standardized testing programs such as Advanced Placement (AP®), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), Excelsior College Examinations (EC), and DANTES.

CityU recognizes credits from prior learning, corporate and military training, as well as other colleges and universities. Find out how your experience counts by talking to a CityU advisor at 888.42.CITYU.
